Supporting and empowering lesbian, queer, bisexual, trans women, and non-binary asylum seekers and refugees in Sheffield and across South Yorkshire (Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster).
LASS was founded in 2017 and is a volunteer-run organisation that aims to support and empower LBTQ+ and non-binary identifying asylum seekers and refugees.
I’m glad to be part of the LASS family. I’m grateful that I was part of it when I needed comfort, support, family, and love. Thanks for being there for me and everyone.”
We depend on donations from the community to continue our vital work, please donate via PayPal or contact us for other means of donating.
Every month we have a meeting for activities, and to socialise and eat together. Contact us on Facebook, or through our email address if you would like further information or guidance.
If coming to a meeting feels difficult, or you are nervous about coming to a LBTQ+ group please get in contact and one of our team will be happy to speak to you.
If you need help with bus or train fares to and from our meeting please let us know.
We are grateful to the Blue Moon Trust, and the Wharfedale Foundation, for their support.
